Tim Cotterill, Frogman [Biography]

Tim Cotterill, Frogman

We are a leading UK gallery of Frogman Bronzes by Tim Cotterill. Our gallery is an authorised and official Frogman stockist of Tim's world famous Frogman bronzes and we have the latest and classic Frogman pieces available to purchase with free UK delivery.

As one of just a handful of galleries in the UK approved to stock and sell Frogman bronzes, we have a vast Frogman collection at Montague's Gallery which includes sold out editions, new releases, rare pieces and an extensive range from the frog, aviary and fish collections.

Since Tim created his first bronze frog over twenty years ago, Tim’s frogs have soared in popularity, leading him to become the biggest selling bronze artist in the world with a portfolio of international collectors.

Now more commonly known as ‘Frogman’, Tim’s frog sculptures have a distinct, unmistakable appearance.

Tim takes inspiration from the world around him which doesn’t necessarily have to be from nature. Anything from flowers to sports cars have inspired Tim Cotterill's creative streak.

At first glance, you would be forgiven for thinking that the frogs are made from glass or enamel due to their colourful, smooth and glossy exteriors; in fact each frog is made entirely from solid bronze.

Each individual frog takes an incredible 116 hours to make over a period of 5-7 weeks in a process known as ‘The Lost Wax Method’. Using the same technique that the Ancient Egyptians used to make their jewellery, every frog is created in the same method.

All available Frogman bronzes can be purchased online or in the gallery and we provide free UK delivery and 0% finance on select purchases.
