Summer Exhibition - 1 July 2010 to 9 July 2010

The Summer Exhibition opens at Montague’s Gallery, High Street, Kings Langley at 7pm on Thursday 8th July.

The Exhibition will display new works from well known artists such as Fletcher Sibthorp, Nagib Karsan, Timmy Mallett and sculptor John Brown as well as introducing some new contemporary artworks from Oksana Leadbitter and Kerry Darlington. The Gallery hosted a very successful exhibition of bronzes earlier in the year and look forward to another well attended informal evening.
There will be an opportunity to meet the artists themselves with Fletcher and Nagib making an appearance on the evening.

It’s somewhat of a homecoming for Fletcher Sibthorp who has become internationally famous as one of the worlds most accomplished figurative artists. Having gone to school in Kings Langley as a young boy it is expected that, on the night, he’ll be meeting some old school buddies along with fans and collectors of his artwork.

The summer exhibition will be the first event at Montague’s gallery since new managers Matt Grimwood and Eleanor Keohane took over at the beginning of May. Hoping to make the summer exhibition an annual event, further events are expected in 2010 with artist Gary Benfield and Timmy Mallett due to put on solo exhibitions of original paintings and limited editions in October and November of this year respectively.
