Kealey Farmer [Biography]

Kealey Farmer

Derbyshire- born Kealey Farmer spent most of her youth drawing and painting, so it was little surprise that art went on to play an integral role in her adult life. Mainly a self- taught artist, it wasn’t until the birth of Kealey’s second son that she decided to leave the corporate world to become a professional artist.

Her early collections of large scale abstract works aimed to convey ‘how you feel, rather than what you see’, resulting in images bursting with highly evocative colours and textures. More recently her works have evolved to incorporate new forms of media including cut glass and Swarovski crystal embellishments. Hand- crafted hearts, flowers and birds often adorn her lavish pieces, giving them a romantic quality.

Now working from her studio in Buckinghamshire, Kealey states ‘I want people to be captivated by what they see, and hope to make them feel good through my art’. With her work fondly hanging in the homes of collectors nationwide, there can be no disputing that she has certainly achieved her ambition, and will no doubt continue to grow in popularity for years to come.
